Europe’s Top Cities- 20 to 30

So, we are a third of the way through my review of Europe’s finest cities. We have covered metropolises from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean and wandered through soviet squares and ancient avenues. By now you might have realised that these rankings are based mostly on my experiences, mainly breakdowns and driving errors, rather than the unique cultures and attributes of each place. It is a list heavily influenced by the compatibility of a van to the roads and of a debateable moron to the city’s customs. I have great memories of each of these places, even the lower down ones, as well as rueful recollections which is why they are down here. Some of them I would love to go back to under circumstances, especially without a van, to see how they compare to my thoughts about my first visits.

Here is the list so far.

  • Oviedo
  • Monaco
  • Zagreb
  • Nice
  • Trondheim
  • Poznan
  • Zaragoza
  • Venice
  • Oslo
  • Copenhagen

Stay tuned for the next 20 where we journey from the Atlantic to the Baltic, swinging by some of the continents finest capitals on the way.
